JGSPBCI BOARD MEETING ZOOM (Covid)

December 16, 2020

Absent: Sylvia Nusinov, Glenn Siegel, and Alan Huss

President Ina Getzoff called the meeting to order at 1:02pm.

Secretary: Beryl Cole read the minutes of the November 18^th, 2020 meeting. The minutes were accepted as read.

Treasurer: Larry Schulman gave the financial report. Our operating account has $26,437.88 and the reserves are $14728.10. Larry said that we are down 90 members from last year. Four new people have joined. We had 45 new members last year. (but we can’t compare because of covid) Larry sent the Stern Fund $300.00 for IAJGS.

Committee Reports:

Membership:Joel Sisitsky stated that we have 145 single memberships and 46 family members. Eric said that the phone calls made a difference getting members back.

Publicity Chair: (external) Walter Rosenthal said that he sent out a press release last Friday with a screen shot of Robinn’s Magid’s photo. Lois Salomon received the press release also.

Publicity Chair: (internal) Marilyn Lane. Notices going out very well.

Programming Chair: Dennis Rice. Our April speaker will be Ken Cutler doing an SOS. Our May meeting is still in planning stage.

Directory: Mona Morris. Family Finder, nothing to report.

Website: Larry Schulman  Larry suggested we increase the Zoom account to 500 people for $50.00 per month. This motion passed 7 to 1.

Larry made a motion to authorize the payment of $45.00 twice a year for the AR member license($90.00/year) AR Member Plugin is the software that allows implementation of most of the membership management features of Word Press. Motion passed.

Larry suggested we authorize the payment of twenty dollars /month ($240.00/year) for the programming software features of Constant Contact. Motion passed.

Larry requested that we move to authorize payment of $1.99/month for 3 years ($71.64) for Site Lock Essentials through Host Gator. Site Lock provides scanning and removal of malware and blocking of foreign attacks to website. Motion passed.

We also decided to waive the guest fee for the January 13 ,2021 meeting. The discussion was tabled regarding the guest fee for future meetings.

Next board meeting is Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1pm.

Next general meeting featuring Marian Smith as speaker will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 1pm.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:15pm.
