Board Minutes 2022-02-23 (VIRTUAL)

The meeting was called to order by President Ina Getzoff at 1PM. Ina also as acting secretary read the minutes for the board meeting of Jan. 26, 2022 which was approved by the board.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Treasurer Larry Schulman had told Ina he would not be at this meeting but did attend. He asked Ina to do the treasurer’s report that was initially planned. Our operating account has a balance of $28,444.49 and our reserve account has a balance of $13,798.10. The report was approved unanimously.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
MEMBERSHIP: Membership chair Joel Sisitsky reported that we have 201 memberships and 236 members.

RECEPTION: Reception chair Glenn Segal reported that we had 72 members and 10 guests at our February 9, 2022 meeting.

MEDIA/OUTREACH PUBLICITY: Media Publicity chair reported that the notice for our March 9, 2022 meeting has been sent to both JewishGen and IAJGS. Walter also repeated that he had asked our board members to give him information regarding their community newsletters so he can contact them to put some publicity about our organization into their newsletters.

MEMBER PUBLICITY: Member Publicity chair Marilyn Lane reported that the meeting notice for our March 9, 2022 is ready to go out.

PROGRAMMING: Program chair Beryl Cole reported that Mark Olsen from Family Tree Maker will be our speaker for our April 13, 2022 membership meeting.

SCATTERED SEEDS: NO REPORT

DIRECTORY: Directory chair Mona Freedman Morris reported that she has not gotten any new information for our directory. She also reported that the Family Finder is up to date.

WEBSITE: NO REPORT

OLD BUSINESS:
Vice President Eric Sharenow reported on the workshop that will be done by Larry Schulman on March 30, 2022. It will be a members only workshop. More information will soon be coming out explaining all the requirements.

NEW BUSINESS: NONE

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15PM. The next general membership meeting will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022 and the next board meeting will be Wednesday, March 23,2022.
